The Misty Mountains Retreat is an upcoming birding destination in Kumaon. Over the last few months we have identified and photographed more than a hundred bird species and sub species. The unique location, thousands of acres of mixed forests around the retreat, and altitudes ranging from 1700 meters to 2600 meters, combine to form a safe haven for birds. We invite photographers and bird watchers to explore these virgin forests. The summers allow for early morning exploration and offer excellent light for those interested in bird photography.
